Why Prep Zone?
The admissions process in Hong Kong can be highly competitive and overwhelming for parents. Naturally, every parent wants to give their child the best possible advantage, and this is where Prep Zone can help.
Your child will be supported by Prep Zone founder and assessment specialist Noelle Bough by undergoing a comprehensive assessment designed to reflect the benchmarks used by top international schools. This allows us to identify areas needing extra support and offer targeted follow-up lessons, helping your child feel prepared and confident for their upcoming school interviews and assessments.
While this process can be stressful for any child, our mission at Prep Zone is to make the child’s experience as stress-free as possible. The goal is not memorizing a specific school’s assessment, but rather boosting the child’s confidence, expressive language, and comprehension skills through lessons rooted in engaging interaction and storytelling.
Meet Noelle, M.S.Ed
As a former assessment specialist at Hong Kong International School and an alumna who has experienced the system firsthand, I have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of this field.
With a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania and teaching experience in U.S. public schools, I am passionate about working with children and creating a supportive environment that caters to individual learning styles. Combined with my experience in International School Admissions, I can provide valuable insights into your child’s development and guidance throughout your admissions journey.
Now, as a parent, I truly understand the desire to equip my child with the skills to excel in whatever they do. My intention is to bring this same desire and apply it to the students I work with. I look forward to hearing from you and working together to give your child a strong head start in their admissions process.
Group classes are currently open for enrollment!
School interviews are not meant to be tricky but can certainly be overwhelming for a lot of children - it is a lot of unfamiliar things all at once! The group classes are designed to help students practice and gain exposure to school interview-type tasks so they become familiar and confident with what they will encounter on the day of the interview.
Through interactive activities and collaborative play, students will:
be encouraged to warm up quickly with other students
build confidence in sharing their opinions with others in a group setting
practice listening skills with multi-step directions
strengthen expressive language and comprehension skills
be reminded to initiate, take turns, and share with others during play
Classes will be limited to 6 students for personalized attention. Observation notes on each student will be shared with parents after each class to identify areas of strength and improvement.

Getting to know your child
Every child is different. My priority is getting to know them, their strengths and areas of improvement. I will begin with a 60-minute session which includes a complete assessment to determine your child’s developmental readiness for their upcoming school interviews.

Assessment debrief
A 20-minute debrief will be provided after the assessment for the parent or guardian and detailed notes for the assessment will be shared within 24 hours.

Recommendation on next steps
Depending on your child’s unique needs, a customized lesson plan will be put together to target the skillset that needs to be strengthened.
